WE NEED LONG-TERM SCHEDULED VOLUNTEER HELP WITH MORNING FEEDING. PLEASE CONTACT US FOR MORE INFORMATION!
We can use your strengths in every area from grooming to riding, and from building fences to hauling big round hay bales! Yes, some of the chores are not so glamorous, but it all needs to be done! Keeping horses in a safe and sound environment takes a lot of dedicated work. We feel it's worth it, and can use all the help we can get.

We also need your help with putting on special fund-raising events and activities. See what events we have going on and what we need help for. Sign up by clicking on an event, filling out and sending the form. Once we've received the form we'll call you to verify. Then we'll see you there!
Release of Liability
Every volunteer must fill out a Release of Liability Waiver.
Simply download it by clicking the link above or the image to the right, print it, fill it out, and bring it to your first visit or orientation meeting, so we can get you involved right away!
Help us win a grant of up to $5,000 just by helping us!!!
In 2012 the EQUUS Foundation's carrots4acause network is providing a volunteer incentive program to put your volunteer hours to work to win a grant of up to $5000 for HITVERAS.
Here's how it works:
If you log in a minimum of 24 volunteer hours over the course of the awards year starting on January 1, 2012, you will be recognized as an EQUUS Champion and become eligible for a drawing to receive an EQUUS foundation grant for HITVERAS.
The hours must be logged in online on the EQUUS Foundation Website and subsequently verified by The EQUUS Foundation.
The more volunteers we have participating, the better chance HITVERAS has of winning a CHAMPIONS grant.
The First Step
The first step is to Sign Up (http://www.equusfoundation.org/signup) on the carrots4acause network as an individual. Then you will be notified by The EQUUS Foundation by email this fall [2011] with the details on how to participate.
